The Curious Girl

"But I'm not aloud, Rules and everything. The treaty." I said.

"The treaty is void when it comes to me. Billy loves me." I fluttered my eyelashes as if it was impossible not to love me. "And.. Jake doesn't need to know... Right?" I grinned.

"But he doesn't love me and Jake will smell us...won't he?" I asked.

I sighed. She was right. I wandered to my car and sat on the hood, thinking. "Well, where else could we go?"

"My old place, my human house?" I asked, after thinking.

"Zo, you are a genius!" I smiled, hopping down from the hood and sidling in between two cars to the door of my car. "You leaving your car here or are you driving, too?"

"I'll drive my car there, you want me to follow you or you follow me?" I asked, smilng.

I rolled my eyes. As if either of us would forget where it was. "Race?"

"Sure, that will give her some trouble keeping up." I giggled and jumped over the hood of my car to get to the drivers side.

"Exactly," I murmered, waiting for her to start her engine. I turned the key in my ignition and eased out of the parking space.

I smiled at her, before jumping in my car and heading toward my house full speed.

I giggled and followed her onto the main road. My foot eased down on the accelerator (sp?) until it was almost pressed to the floor of my car. I quickly overtook Zoe, grinning as I passed.

I let her over take me, I was still going full speed but I knew a short cut. I turned off at the fork in the road, down a dirt track which lead right to my house.

I heard her thought as soon as she thought it and pushed the pedal all the way to the floor of my car. I spun around bends and took a path through the trees. I screeched to a stop outside the house.

I parked my car out of the back of my house and quickly ran through the house, opening the door just in time to see her get out. "I think we can call that a Tie." I said, smiling. "Which way do you think she went?" I asked, remembering Sonny following us.

"She's following the way I came. It's pretty easy to be honest. It rained this morning -quelle surprise- and my car made tracks in the mud in the forest." I smiled, slamming the car door and wandering over to Zoe.
I looked at her with one eyebrow raised.
"Three. . . Two . . . One. . ." Sonny's car broke through the opening in the trees.

"Your gift is like amazing, better than mine for sure." I said, smiling.

I rolled my eyes. "Zo, you can control people. Seriously. That's amazing."

"Not as amazing as yours." I argued, smiling. Then looked toward sonny who was walking up the drive. "Come on in I'll leave the door open for her." I said, walking toward the living room.

I sighed, not intent on arguing with her. I followed her into the house and into the small living room.

"Yeah, it's tiny. But I was living by myself at the time" I said, smiling.

"I wasn't complaining," I said, defensivley. I looked at the wall and thought through the many styles of wallpaper Esme and I had visited over the years.
I sighed. "I'm turning into Alice, aren't I?"

"Yep, you are." I said, giggling.

I laughed my musical laugh and dropped down on the couch. I waited patiently, watching the door. "Two.. one.." Sonny appeared.

I raised one of my eyesbrows as she entered then smiled at Becca. "So Sonny, your obviously curious.What do you want to know? Would you like something to eat or drink? I've got cuboards full of food." I asked, the blood had given me my control back and my eyeshad turned the orangey colourthey always did. Carlisle said, because I couldn't just drink animal blood yet my eyes wouldn't go gold like the others'.
